Entry 1
This is the first of what I hope will be a series of entries in my recent job. This is Joseph Welsh, recently hired mechanic for Fazbear Entertainment. My job consists mostly of putting together the animatronics, and repairing them as well. Though I do also have a passion project going on, in which I repurpose animatronics, creating new designs and looks for the countless members. I was heavily inspired by animatronic designs featured in the Curse of Dreadbear DLC, and the alternate looks from the special delivery system. If I'm honest, I feel stuff like that could work as perfect kindling to ignite the return of Fazbear Frights, if not as a horror attraction, then at least a halloween event. Of course the higher-ups aren't too quick to jump on the idea, not just because I'm still just a new guy, but also because of past events that kinda killed Fazbear Frights to begin with. That said, they weren't quick to shut me down either. I'd like to think they like my passion to see if my ideas and creativity can proof beneficial to the company. So they did allow me access to a few really trashed animatronics to play with in my spare time. And that is what this potential entry series is for, to document the animatronics I come up with. Hopefully they will draw at least a passable amount of attention, and become popular enough to convince my superiors to bring back Fazbear Frights, make it bigger and better than before. So fingers crossed.
My first animatronic of course had to be Freddy. For right now I only have access to the most common model of Freddy, and his gang. I was told that if these become successful, I should get access to other characters down the line. For Freddy, it wasn't hard to get most of the pieces together to mostly complete his body, though he was still missing a front plate to his torso. Having him mostly together, I sat down with a tablet and doodled what I could make this into. In the end, I chose to craft an exposed rib cage to fill in the gap, and then added extra clothes, even decided to recolor him grey. Course that change to his color gave him a spookier look, kinda withered, traumatized, and that with the ribcage and other touches I kept adding started to form concept in my head. My head pretty much generated that this was a Freddy that lost himself in an infinite see of eldritch horror and chaos, and that he returned to our world, warped, undead, and crazed, to spread whatever dark diseased nightmare he was taken by. He definitely was lots of fun for me to put together and warp. So hopefully he'll draw in lots of attention and we'll see if I can keep this project going. Enjoy.
