Life in Griffonstone can be hard, especially for the younger ones who have to get some "creative ideas" to earn some extra money. Gallus without a doubt thought in a focus group that was going to "pay for his newfangled services", but I'm not sure if he is having as much success as he was expecting. Griffonstone's Tourism Office should take action on the matter by the way. Well, I know understand why he seems to love to stay as long as possible in the School of Friendship... He still looks cute though :3
Wow! I enjoyed a lot to make this new drawing and it resulted simply... perfect (or as close as possible to perfection). Don't ask my why, but I had this silly idea a few days ago when I reminded the MLP episode The Lost Treasure of Griffonstone. Hehe it was simply one of those cases in which I put all the pieces together and the most logical result appeared in my mind. Pretty much an eureka moment, I guess. Also, when I realized that the number of padded Gallus drawings was really really low even comparing with the rest of the student six, it was basically obvious which drawing I must do!
I really love the Gallus character, especially his colors, and this was worrying me a lot because my experience drawing gryphons was basically one drawing. However, I don't know how, having a pretty limited set of references, I simply don't know if I would be able to draw a better Gallus, I simply LOVE the final result. I just... want to carry him to my house, give him a blanket and some hot chocolate. He is just a poor cutie nwn Exactly how I visualized it on my mind :)

I am so very happy that you took the time to add to the shortage of adorable images of Gallus in diapers. He is a character that, given how his back story is much like that of many actual people who are a part of the Diaper Lover / Baby Fur community, most definitely would be very likely to enjoy those moments where he could feel loved and comforted.

What is interesting is how I just posted a 'Based On Real Life Events' story that I wrote to help me cope with recent events that have resulted in my son not desiring to spend time with me. (He has not been over to visit me in over 4 days.).

The research I have done to try and understand why I like diapers and padded cartoon cuties has shown a few common, macro-level factors that appear to cause someone to find diapers a great choice in underwear. (It is hard to say 'underwear' as, for me, I like when I just am able to wear them with a T-Shirt along with a pair of socks.)
Let me know what you think of the following factors that my research has turned up over the past 16 years. I certainly would love any feedback you may have. :)
1: The real life childhood / youth of the Baby Fur / diaper Lover was abruptly cut short by one, or more, traumatic life events. These events forced the individual to quickly enter a premature adulthood due to needing to 'grow up' before their mind / brain was prepared to transition from childhood to adulthood.
2: Many who have interest in diapered characters and/or diapers themselves have one, or more, physical and/or psychological disabilities. The disability making the individual an outcast at an early age who often is teased for what makes them different from everyone else.
3: The liking of diapers and padded cartoon animals becomes a 'Diaper Fetish' only when no adequate intervention is done to help the individual cope / work through their real life struggles of the past, present, and future. (My research shows that a desire for diapers and enjoyment of seeing adorable animals being friendly and having fun together can be recalled by the one with a 'Diaper Fetish' as early as 3 years of age. It is puberty that the comfort of diapers gets intertwined with sexual release. Being outcast from your peers and made out to be undesirable by anyone to whom could be in a relationship / dating causes the mind to, without direct intention to do so, identify the comfort of being diapered with the natural need to release one's sexual tension when puberty starts.)

Gallus, in 'The Hearth's Warming Club' episode of MLP: FiM shares that he did not have a family. I was also told that his flashback to Griffonstone's 'Blue Moon Festival' has him standing away from the other griffons while he observes how poorly they treat each other.
Another revelation from the episode is how Grandpa Gruff is just a title / nickname for the grumpy griffon. Gallus was brought to 'The School of Friendship' by Grandpa Gruff. It is very likely that, like Gabby Griffon, gallus did not behave the way a griffon of his age was expected to. The opportunity to place him in 'The School of Friendship' worked out for Grandpa Gruff by giving the orphaned Gallus, who no other griff cared to have around, a place to be that did not bother any griff. (Gabby Griffon may have avoided wanting to feel young and loved by how she never quite appeared as lonely and unwanted as gallus. She was able to not be traumatized by how her fellow griffons treated her. This is only a guess due to not having much information on her in the canon for MLP: FiM.)

Gallus would definitely act the part of a griffon who is being shamed in order to make bits. However, beneath the blush and snarky remarks, he is quite happy to feel the soft diaper around his bottom. His movements while at work reminding him of the 'hug' he is getting from the non-living garment as it serves to 'warm' him even without having not yet gone potty in it.
Since his real experience in feeling comforted and wanted come from his friends at 'The School of Friendship', Gallus would see the time he has in a diaper to make his own memories to cope with the trauma of having been an unwanted orphan.

With the episodes of 'What Lies Beneath' and '2, 4, 6, 8, Great', Smolder just may have a similar interest in wanting the love and affection she did not get during her younger years. Dragons may not be known, or raised, to show 'soft feelings', but that does not imply a dragon is hatched without the ability to have and want to be cuddly and cute.

Sorry for making this so long. I just really love gallus and, based on my life experiences and research, see him as my favorite in 'The Student 6' due to how, to me, he has relatable experiences that make him appear to desire a way to get back the childhood he never had.

I see that you like Gallus pretty much, yeah. From what I have seen until now in the show. It seems for me that he has a similar personality to Smolder. He tries to be a hard rock, but in the inside he wants desperately friends and creatures that love him. This drawing is also pretty much inspired in the ideas exposed in the episode you mentioned where we know how lonely is his life. From this starting point there are then, some ways to interpret what is exactly happening in this scene, but I'm not going to spoil them :P It is more interesting seeing how others do that by themselves. Just take a look to the comments here and in Derpbooru for example. Some people is trying to adopt Gallus, another ones thinks that Silverstream is going to "buy him", and there is even someone suggesting to move the business to a foreign land for better financial results :P
Wow! I usually do not read the other comments as they often are single sentences with the key point of noting how 'cute', or 'nice' a posted piece of art is. Knowing you have gotten a lot of creative feedback for this picture makes me eager to take the time to look over the other comments.
*Shows a big smile without showing any of his flat teeth through his bill* Hearing the responses you have been getting has made my day, Sweetie. *Wildly waddles about as he flails his arms about* Gabby-Gabby-Gaboo!

Oh! My followers usually have some nice responses with nice theories or interpretations about the artwork :3 Don't underrate them hehe
That is indeed my favorite part of doing art. I just reminded a story about the creator of Five Nights At Freddy's, who decided not to reveal a secret of the games because the community already made better interpretations of the secret than his own canon story.
This may sound really silly and like a kind of "hippie artist" comment but, I think this is the most amazing part of the art. Creating something by your own and letting it fly free to see how it evolves by itself with the help of others.

If allowing viewers to have fun and freedom to interpret your work is in relation to being like a 'Hippie', I better get to work on regrowing my hair, filling my closet with "groovy" tye-dye shirts, hang some beeds over my bedroom door's entryway, and start showing the "peace sign" with my pointer and middle fingers. Because I totally "dig" allowing those who view my work to be "chill" by being free with their expressions. (Tried for some 'Hippie slang'. My parents grew up in that era and, over the years, I have seen a lot of movies through shows like Riff Trax and Mystery Science Theater 3000 to get me knowledgable of the 1960s and 1970s.).

Knowing you get a good amount of viewer interpretation rom your commenters, I will be making time to check out the comments on those pictures you have uploaded, which I missed *Pouts*, along with reading what people say about your future submissions.

Have I shared with you how my character, Yosh E. O'ducky, is primarily built upon how readers and viewers have seen him to be? Many of Yosh's features come from taking ideas from gift art, commissions, and comments. I was a bit nervous about giving so much control to those who viewed my character. However, I soon embraced it. I truly feel there is no better way to build your characters than by sharing them with everyone and getting to see what they come up with through their creative thoughts.
The term "Death of the Author" is one that I really appreciate. I believe it resulted from a day that an author secretly sat in on a college / university class to hear the presentations the students gave. After the last student left, the author approached the professor and told him that none of the students grasped what he was presenting in the book. The professor responded with something along the lines of, "The author's intentions for how their story should be seen are no longer the only way in which someone will interpret their work upon it being released beyond the realm of the author's imagination.".

"Death of the Author" sounds like a terrible thing due to having 'Death' written in it. This is why I prefer "Creative Freedom", or "Open Interpretation". These sound like softer ways to show how everyone sees a story, work of art, etc. differently and, so long as it causes no negative impacts to anyone or anything, each viewer should be free to show how a creator's work has influenced them.

Back in 2011, I had a major epiphany on my view of art and creative interpretation. The short version of the events that followed 10 / 2, which is how the moment has become known by those who were a part of it, allowed me to better seperate myself from my work. Since 10 / 2, I no longer worry about how people may choose to share their feelings about what I post. It also helped me know that, although Yosh is a very strong extension of my real self, that my little dino-duckling is open source for others and not in direct relation to my real self.

Well, I didn't know that your Yosh character was built pretty much by your followers, that's interesting. I may heard a bit about the story of the "Death of the Author". All of this in reality makes part of a bigger philosophical trouble which makes us ask if we are in reality owner of the stuff we create or if the entire world is the real owner. For example, since we use elements of other people's creations to create our own things, it sounds pretty selfish to restrict our creations to our decisions and just claim them as "our stuff". Also, how a company can be "private", owned by a short group of people, if they use natural resources to operate (resources of that belongs to the entire world). As I was saying, this is a huge philosophical debate for which probably our entire society is not even ready to handle yet, but it is really interesting when you think on that carefully.
I consider myself neutral in those kinds of discussions and I think that somehow my drawings should be half created by me and half created by my followers for example, pretty much like the Yosh character was probably created too, don't you think? I feel that when we mix in equal quantities, the best of both worlds (whichever are the worlds we are talking about) we usually get the best results, but... just ignore what I think if you want, this may be just the silly opinion of someone who prefers to not jump blindly to one side or other and tries to live a balanced life.

What you shared about maintaining a balance between self-ownership and publically available resources is how I feel about art, stories, and many other tangible and intangible aspects of our world. Favoring one approach over another can cause a lot of trouble that really does not need to occur. There are just too many people, such as large companies, who favor 'self-ownership' way too much.
Allowing resources to be 100% 'Public Domain' can only work in a world that is driven by a non-monetary goal. It is unfortunate how, no matter where you live in the world, there is a constant struggle between 'The haves' and 'The Have Nots' where the divide between being rich and poor grows more and more by the day. This is one, of a handful, of reasons I came to really not like the field of study I got my Undergraduate and Graduate degrees, which is 'Business Administration'.
University teaches you 'Teamwork', 'Thinking Outside the Box', and 'Quality Control'. These practices are far from followed by business that are in a state of being 'For Profit'.
What is really sad is how someone can get paid millions of USD to just be a figurehead / face for the company. Too often CEOs, along with other executive level individuals, will take actions to ensure short term gains, leave the company with big bonuses, and allow for long term troubles to arise that cause the everyday worker to lose their job.
You are probably familiar with US sports having a 'Salary cap' that limits how much someone can be paid for their athletic skills. The United States would do well to impose similar limits on executive pay. The only exception is for the executive to have all earnings above 'The salary cap' into corporate stock. This stock could not be sold until 5 years after their departure from the company. This, I feel, would make executives make better decisions that better serve all employees, customers, and suppliers.

Whoops! *Blushes* Education and experience really do show how "There is no knowledge that is not power.". I just get fussy over how so much poverty and unemployment could be avoided through the successful execution of regulations upon those who are paid large sums of money regardless of how their choices impact the organization as a whole.
***
*Nervously blushes* I feel like I let too much 'adult' out. Time to go be little Yosh again. (I tend to be very passionate on those real life situations that I know cause more distance and struggle for those who are not in the 'High Income' bracket of monetary earnings. If I got to have an executive position, I would make sure to not forget about the people who are doing the real work beyond looking at numbers on a spreadsheet and seeing how I can get a fat bonus over ensuring the well-being of all those who count on me to make decisions to reward the hard work they do.).
