My and
tomoefuchs's khajiit characters retired from their adventures, living together peacefully in Skyrim <3
A little homage to Skyrim Together and the amazing developers behind this mod. Thanks to them, me and Tomoe had an opportunity to be together at least in some way, during the year we couldn't meet because of the pandemic and the related lockdowns. We spent countless hours in that game, starting as early and ending as late as we could everyday, completely lost in Skyrim while we were calling. We played our characters as a young khajiit couple traveling together from Elsweyr in hopes of finding a nice home for themselves. Now that me and Tomoe are finally together, we don't have to resort to virtual worlds anymore, and we haven't touched it since. So I like to imagine that our khajiit characters retired and are just enjoying their life, as much as we do <3 (We even posted some videos of our late Skyrim gameplays, for anyone interested! https://www.youtube.com/playlist?li.....EcxYbfd9eYV64)
I have to say this piece was a challenge for me, phew. I never liked doing backgrounds and avoided doing them when possible, which led to my background skills lacking behind quite a lot > just more reason to not do them. Only recently I finally found enjoyment in trying to learn this, and I'm trying really hard to improve! Not just on my backgrounds, but also on the overall atmosphere, lights and shadows, how everything goes together in the picture. Another reason why this was a challenge is the angle. I got comfortable in drawing everything from the side view or front view, and for once I wanted to try another, interesting angle that would make the whole thing a little more dynamic. I'm really struggling with perspective when it's tilted, so yeah ^^; But I think this turned out well, considering it was my first time trying something like this, and considering I used zero references (I never do unless it's really something I never did before, but I'm sure they'd make my work much easier here ugh).
Anyway, I'm not entirely satisfied with the result, but it's a step closer to what I'd like to reach!
