I actually have a partially completed sequel where the dragons return in a more realistic form out of a shoe box and are about the size of house cats but some get to house sizes. Its on loose leaf papers in a folder somewhere in my manuscripts pile. There are around thirty folders in the corner of my room here so I am not looking for it at two in the morning but if you guys want I can try to work on it with anyone willing to help out
https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-1762 be prepared to be very sad if you read the addendums
Just like there are hundreds of different fetishes, there are hundreds of different personality types and equally hundreds of ways to make said personality types sad. Not sure why this is such groundbreaking news to one I can only assume is an adult but I'm very happy to educate one of today's lucky 10K.
Eh, sometimes. A more appropriate emotion would simply be growing attached to the concept and being lightly saddened at its fate.
The Addendum in question reveals that SCP-1762 was once a pocket dimension fantasy world, from which sentient origami dragons emerged. Eventually, however, it would bring itself to war and ruin the longer it spent in containment, with the dragons it generated being creatures that occasionally escaped it, and part of a race that sought to maintain peace among the world, named Fantasy's, races. This effort would eventually be in vain.
The world's death would be classed as the "Jabberwocky Event," serving as an example of a child's vividly imagined and created fantasy world that, in the absence of its creator, would stagnate and end.
Years later, though, it would re-form, and spew out a book compendium of various species that once existed in the world of Fantasy, alongside an amethyst crystal with the words One Last Time carved into it. The box would again return to ash after this, marking the end of the SCP's story.

While long, hopefully this explains the story of the SCP, surmised from skimming the page personally.

Here's the video link for the SCP reading. It is just too sad and touching.

SCP-1762 is one of the most saddest SPCs along with the journal that begins with A Hero is Born when the wizard showed actual grief and sadness for that one person who had such a creative mind that he ended up creating not only a short story but an entire world with many adventures that when the person finally woke after being asleep for 24 hours. The foundation should have watched that person a bit more closely. But I also love how that person simply wrote on a note and placed it inside of the journal asking to just speak with the wizard and wanting to know what happen.
Yeah, those two are some of the most purist and saddest SCPs that are within the foundation.
