Here we see Crescent with Lucky deciphering plates from Arceus himself. Despite Lucky's age, he has no idea what's written on the plates and he spotted Crescent reading one of the plates and decided to check it out, after finding out Crescent can read and write about the many lanuages in the pokemon world, he asked if he could help decipher plates. He even payed in baby and doll clothes which Crescent sometimes takes as side pay.
Lucky had a hard time trying to read one letter on the plate whereas Crescent was already halfway done translating what's on the flame plate. They'll deciphering those plates for awhile and those Shin pamps are waiting to be used. When asked where Crescent found the flame plate, he said his mentor and strange looking rhyperior taught him everything , which is how can read from unknown and footprint runes, to ancient language and even divine language. When Lucky asked what was on the Flame plate, he was happy to decipher it. Lucky was impressed at Crescent's skills and asked to see what was written on the flame plate while he deciphers the Zap Plate. Lucky even paid Crescent some extra poke in exchange for the translated plated and Flame plate itself. When they were finished, Lucky thanked Crescent and hoped he can hire him again for expeditions and helping him decipher more ancient language writing. Crescent told him as long as theirs Money, Plushies, or Diapers he'll be happy to help.
Crescent even told him to be careful with the plates as it looks like many contain secrets to a place called Paradise while another talks about earth and the underworld.

Crescent is the only one who can decipher many ancient writings thanks to Yuri who tutored him. So some do hire him for expeditions, but Lucky told him if he finds any of Arceus' plates, to take them to Azoth on Crown Reef so he can get them, when asked why, since Lucky couldn't tell him the truth about the plates, he said that as an explorer, he'll make sure the plates stay safe and that they won't be sold on the black market.
