I used to ride my bike on a rail-trail all the time. There was a dog in a backyard along the trail that always looked so filthy and sad. One day I saw a big lump of fur outside his doghouse that stank horribly and had flies all around it. I thought it was sad the dog had died and the owner left it there. Then when I came back the other way he was walking around again. This reminds me of that dog.
