*Male: Night Shift is male… but has a pair of working female gonads. The injection Scartooth put into Sergeant Wolf that separated him from Night Shift was female in nature. This mutated Night Shift to have both female and male gonads that worked independently of each other.

Created from the injection of a mutagen into Sergeant Wolf, Night Shift has become Sergeant Wolf's alter-ego. Though he is still able to think cognitively, this cognition is very limited and causes him to act more like a beast than a human (much to Sergeant Wolf's chagrin). Despite the beastial nature, Night Shift still has a capacity to empathize with others. This is most prevalent whenever he sees someone that is crying. Since Sergeant Wolf always had a desire to show compassion for others, Night Shift will do the same... but with less capacity to help someone. His usual means of helping someone has been to hold them in a hug, nuzzle his snout into their cheek or head, and/or give them something he thinks is pretty (e.g. a shiny rock, a piece of candy, or even a basketball).

If Night Shift ever appears through Sergeant Wolf's mental state deteriorating due to extreme levels of stress, rage, or animosity, Night Shift tends to be more violent and will harm anyone he cannot immediately recognize as a friend. He is capable of running on all fours up to forty miles per hour and has a punching potential of 8000 N of force, so he is a frightening force that one doesn't want to mess with.
