Another too small door. Another set of eyes glued to her rack. Luc released a quiet growl as she leaned down, gripping the doorframe gently with a clawed paw.
In front of her, Mrs Kane, her current client and a wily elderly sheep lady, cleared her voice authoritatively. “Ahem, good evening Mr Berry- don’t mind my friend here, I’m just coming to inquire after the rent that’s due?”
The human, a shaggy man in a red hoodie, messy apartment sprawled behind him, slowly pulled his eyes from the huge wolf-woman’s chest to blink at his landlady. “Uuuh...right. Yeah, sorry, Mrs Kane, I’ve been meaning to get around to...”
“I’m sure you’ve got the money lying around.” The old sheep said coldly, “Do you need Ms Luc’s help looking?”
Luc moved on cue, bending down and twisting slightly to squeeze through the doorway. This was the twentieth flat tonight, and after a few less intimidating moments where her vast hips had gotten stuck, she’d adjusted. Not that this little chump would be a problem- he was a nervous scrawny thing. Her mere presence had quietened most of the difficult tenants, and only two had tried to start a fight with the amazonian fuzzball. The memory brought a small grin to her sharp teeth, and she paused before standing up, taking note of a lingering scent on the human.
“Uh- no, no, uh, it’s fine. Make yourself comfortable!” The man squeaked, practically leaping away before she even stood up.
“I will.” Luc sighed, feeling her ears bump the ceiling as she stood. The place was a tip, empty boxes and take out all over the places, the guys funds spent on a gigantic TV and sound system instead. Bare pawed, she walked carefully, nose easily tracing the scent from the man’s clothes, the lingering dregs of smoke in the air, towards the couch. Her massive paw lifted a cushion, and her grin spread wider at the small transparent bag hidden within.
After that, it was easy. Mrs Kane gasped in shock at the breach of contract, of illegal items being in her honest lovely flat- what would his father think? Or the police? It was the third performance that evening of the old sheep’s grandmotherly outrage, but by the time she was done she’d obtained significantly more than the expected rent, and left the tenant quivering.
“Your commission. That nose of yours is a real blessing, dearie, far better than the usual meatheads,” Mrs Kane bleated happily once they left, passing her a couple of notes.
“Thankyou- Ed thought it would be handy, and good to get my paws wet!” Luc took it with a smile, ducking as they passed into the staircase.
“Absolutely, it’s nice to have a ladies touch too- how long have you been working for him? I wish I’d had you last month! I’ll make sure to hire you next month too!”
“Just over a week, I’m… very new.” She slowed slightly. Next month wasn’t meant to be like this. Give it another couple of weeks, and she’d be reset, fixed again, no good for security work. “Uh, we’ll see. I kinda intended this to be a filler job, stay moving, you know?”
“Got to enjoy your youth while you can!” The old sheep laughed, hobbling beside her, “Just make sure to communicate with Ed properly- the bosses might take it badly if such a promising worker just up and vanished! But make good memories of the chaos, aye?”
“I have.” The vamwolf agreed quietly. Once she settled into her nocturnal routine, the work hadn’t been so bad. And her favourite elements had been:
C. Comrades, the other security staff made good company once she got used to their ribbing.
X. Training, working up a sweat was surprisingly refreshing and gained some xp.
T. Toni, the woman had made a good confidant and friend to hang out with.
F. Flying, sneaking off before dawn to stretch her wings unseen by any.
M. Money, the wage from Watchdog Security had let her order good meat to satisfy her appetite and splash out a bit.
Sometime since the last update, and I’ve been a little indecisive, so I thought we’d do an update! Luc is now employed by a shady security firm, so please make two votes in your comments as to her favourite part of this arrangement! The best two will be added to the story to help flesh Luc and the world out, probably on sunday or after.
Negatives will come up after the next panel, so feel free to comment with problem ideas too.

T! Toni was fun to see!
And F, which is short for fun. And flying.
Problems... well, a good nose is a double-edged sword. Some scents you wish you could escape. Or, her job may not always give assignments for clients as affable as Mrs. Kane.
Also, I liked the detail of Mrs Kane being a sheep, even if we didn't see her! It helps sell that, yeah, wolf-people are also accepted things in this world.

My favourite part of doing these series' is the analysis and logic people do :D
Yeah, Kane is our first natural anthro character, I just didn't want to draw all three people in one scene. Plus it sets up a certain joke if she ever gives Luc clothes.
I'm sure Luc smelt quite a few smells she'd rather not have while going round an apartment block... ironically she's probably more hygienic as a giant vampire werewolf for similar reasons.

T and F, no pun intended. And problems... well, no reflection means no ID cards in the new form. Even an innocent thing like a mobster sending somebody like Mrs Kane a phone pic with a "here's who to expect" could lead to major complications. Or a coincidental mirrored surface. Lots of time things like elevators have mirrored walls. Speaking of vampire weaknesses, does Luc have any issue with garlic?
She specifically has "Garlic Vulnerability 1" as a stat.
For comparison, her sunlight weakness is "Radiant Vulnerability 50", so garlic irritates and stings a bit, but it's not super dangerous. Just unpleasant.
Yeah, depends if someone tries to photograph her or not. Could be handy to be invisible to cameras though :D
