In one of our games we had to sneak into a city that we had a bad reputation in to say the very least.

He's the ONLY one in the party who doesn't have a natural darkvision. What he has on right now are Blind sense goggles. He can see outlines of physical things around him, but can not see into the water, or anything magical.

Some of his biggest fears are VERY deep water that he can't see the bottom of, and pure darkness. He had to walk in the water that he couldn't see in, so his normal cocky/sure-of-self personality lifted and the party got to see a real side of him.. and hear him complain for a good while.

Didn't help in the slightest that him and another companion both got electrocuted a couple times and nearly fell in battle. In the darkness. By the running water.
