From the looks of their expression the wolf whom is about to be released might perhaps have a curt word to say regarding his captivity, though if that's Genn Greymane he did have quite a long stay. Though with the spell of protection and a time of rest and reflection in the end I suspect the wolves will find that it was not so bad and it was all as a dream.

Though the prisoners are released from the dungeon, whom knows what other wolves there may be in future artworks and whom of them might find themselves in bondage. It's been an eventful ride with well known favourites and new friends we've not met before and an array of reactions and bondage situations just as broad as the franchises and characters whom were portrayed.

Chise is another new wolf, though another whom is quite endearing. From his expression I wonder if he's perhaps being approached by someone whom is intent on ruffling his rather fluffy chest fur and he's pleading with them not to do so, or at least it's a little undignified in his current position.

Indeed it is Genn Greymane, Akela and the Sheriff of Nottingham, who are about to be released. They appear rather calm, for it feels for them like an exchange of hostages. The spell let them wander free back to the place they desire the most and they can believe what they want to be true. Some maybe will keep the memory of their captivity, some will forget it, some may just feel a slight breeze afterwards, a kind of de ja vu maybe, but not a single one of them is harmed in any way.

Chise is a freshly captured, so he still needs to get used to the situation, your mentioned treatment maybe will be the best choice for his manga self is very affectionate beside not being sure if acting like a top dog, or abandoned puppy

It's a nice closure to the story seeing the first of the wolves going home and that with new arrivals it's very much that the adventure continues. Though we may not be looking in on them now the story can continue in our imaginations with any wolf whom we might think of might at one point or another be a guest. Everyone will have their own experiences and reactions but in the end they are free and certainly no worse and perhaps very much better for it.

It's been a good series to spark the imagination and conjure up stories during what was a particularly dark time, so thank you for that and for all the new wolves you introduced to us through this series.

Oh! You have fellow rats in your castle that act as guards or servant-like jobs? That's kinda neat to see and know!

Also kinda neat that you grant protection spells of which I want to guess are subtle or are pre-installed into part of the castle that when you pass it, a barrier or warding spell is placed on you without the need to place it manually.

I think I kinda liked seeing you do this Eternal, because I really do feel this kinda made you happier! Or at least mildly entertained for a moment in time.

Awww nooo, I really do know how you feel. Sometimes I truly wish I was my Typh to do heroic deeds in the real world or at least...be in my world, which is still written and made to be in a more subtle turmoil, but its a turmoil I can absolutely fix by fighting for what's right, fighting against oppression, and most of all corruption. Similar to Link fighting Ganon or Ganondorf. But...the first Ganondorf fought in Ocarina of Time, by that particular Link, did not allow Link the satisfaction to truly live normally....Link lost literally everything and remained changed forever, because nothing can stop what happened before he was sent back in time to his Child self. But at the same time...Link during Twilight Princess is learning from the Link from Ocarina of Time who's filled with regret...and only his descendant could ease those regrets by allowing the past Link to pass on the amazing skills to his next-in-line.

I love the hero's quest, but I know that the hero's quest is not all of what I want, but...it still feels good to do good for the world. But the cost is...quite alot to do so.

But enough sadness from Zelda's world and my world, I'm really glad you felt like you needed this. Because I support you trying to make yourself happy. And I hope to make you happy some day as well, enough to make you elated or enough to pull you out of darkness with my own strength that I can say "I made this person really happy by being me."

Is the other rat removing the cuffs an employee of Eternal's dungeon or another form of Eternal ? And is that rat a creation of Eternal or an outside creature ?

I assume Eternal would have the ability to summon rat employees to work in his dungeon, take care of the captives and oversee their stay.

You are right. Those rats work for him, he has summoned them and they are also part of Eternal himself, fragments of his being. The only difference is that they all sport a white fur, that is a little greyish arround the muzzle, neck, chest and belly and their eyes are of a deep blue, that is allmost black.
They take care of the captives, indeed.

Great finale to a fun series! Let's hope the wolves will continue living to the fullest after their dungeon stay ;3

Mortals sadly start to value what they have at the time they have it not. After getting it back, they treasure it... for a while... but soon they think it to be a usual thing. Sad irony...

Loved the series. I'm sad that Wolf O'Donnell from Star Fox didn't make it in though. But, it was your decision and I respect it.

To be honest, I simply never was familliar with the character Wolf O´Donnell. I had seen pics of him every once in a while, but the story overall never caught my eye that much, that i tried to dive deeper into the story universe. This sometimes can happen.
But the reason why I asked arround for other wolves to draw was simply because maybe it could be that some of them would make an appearence someday. There is hope. I only gathered a pool of ideas and inspiration
