I would be the one going to find a teacher to try and stop whatever is about to happen. (Yeah I was actually that kind of a student when I was in school. I was a stickler when it came to following the major school rules. Although I had my own issues that got me sent to the office two to three days out of the week. But when it came to the safety of the other students. I will go get a teacher or a school staff.

Yeah, I got a lot of flack for being a "Tattle Tail" from the other students, but it didn't bother me since I vary selective with who are my friends were(Mostly they were teachers and school staff). Plus when it came to field trips our school had the "One person can ruin it for everyone" rule. But they were very lenient with it if someone came forwards with information on who it was and who was involved. And if the ones involved are caught then they'll be the ones getting punished and everyone else will be able to enjoy whatever event is scheduled for that day or week.
