This world is not how we know it. It is not a living thing, it is not an unpredictable realm. It is clockwork. Those who have studied intensively the inner workings of the universe have then come to be known as "mechanics," beings who can solidify the universal gears to control the elements around them.

A wonderful, well-executed concept! :D
WIP or not, I find the picture's faded colors, in conjunction with its sketchiness, to be very appealing! I love the idea of "mechanics" being people with the ability to manifest the universe's essence. This piece is overflowing with whimsy: the kneeling posture of the formally dressed fox mechanic, the partially visible gears, the unusual coil of greenery around the barren tree, and the soft magical glow at the tree's trunk. =)
