Ah ok, I think I remember asking about that and it seems that was answered. My only question is did he misuse/mistake that glowing chaos juice as a mere torture instrument, and kind of accidentally use it for its intended purpose? Or was he closer to correct in his assessment, she’s just kind of a 1 in 100 edge case?

Apologies if I am unintentionally angling for spoilers, I am just curious.

No spoiler there, that bit is pretty much resolved for now. The potion he used produced a random mutation, which most of the time would make his victims too weak, distorted, insane or dead to retaliate, but there always was a very rare chance that it would make his victims more powerful instead.

A kind of "What if" story of if Hex hadn't been cared for and loved after she was accidentally created/born. Her being cast out and forced to survive on her own at a young age. Always seen as a monster and nothing more than the spawn of Lord Tirek.
I dug through your gallery to learn more about this character and I'm eager to see where her story goes.

Huh. Kinda sounds like my own idea for Chaos magic in one of my settings. Of course, my version can be controlled, if you have the proper runes set up. But it's kinda like the Power of Creation itself. It changes things. By its very nature, it cannot leave something as it is. Which makes it very powerful, but also dangerous, as it will change things as long as there's enough power there. As long as you've got Chaos Magic, things will change. The key is to control the amount, and to cut off the flow before it changes too much.

Not surprisingly, the practitioners are considered fools at best and dangerous criminals at worst. It's far too unpredictable, and many fear it could undo the world. Because there's a seemingly limitless pool of it... and it may even be alive, seeking to be set free. And if Chaos was set free, all at once?

The world would truly end then, for what runes could possibly control or contain an infinite flow of power with nowhere to go?
