Unsurprisingly, I’ve made another character, but this time, she’s a prey animal. Or, at least she WAS a prey animal until becoming a vampire. This is Neera, an American Rabbit who used to live a fairly normal life until she was attacked and bitten by a vampiric Binturong during a late night stroll back home. The first three days of her becoming a vampire were the most stressful, as the blood cravings and personality/behavior changes took hold, and by day four, she was fully vampiric.
I would have to describe her new personality shift inspired by Santa Clarita Diet (a great and bloody Netflix show, I love it). Before, she was very careful and hesitant to take risks, but very compassionate and resourceful.
Now, she’ll jump into situations without a second thought, definitely more abrasive, though does still retain her ability to love and care for others, alongside her morals (some of them at least). She’ll often look up criminals that happen to be in a close vicinity to her and feed on them instead of the first person she sees. While blood bags do hold her off, they are emergency only. Luckily, there’s plenty of crime to go around.
Also, no, the Sun does not effect her since moonlight is just reflected sunlight. And while garlic can’t kill them and is only a myth, all vampires do have varying degrees of a garlic allergy that can range from itchy skin and eyes to stomach issues depending on if it’s ingested or applied on the body. Though symptoms go away after 24hrs or via consuming a special elixir. Stakes, too, are a myth. They’re just really big splinters.

A vampire with some level of morals? Still hard for me to believe, considering they're parasites. XD
Also, what KIND of criminals? Because there's criminals that are actually bad, and ones that are just desperate.
Though she's got an interesting design. And she seems more like Alucard from Hellsing when it comes to weaknesses, though the garlic thing is new. And the stake thing: Heh. You know the origin of that?

Maintaining her morals is definitely not without struggle, it takes a lot of willpower to reminder herself that not ever person she sees is a meal. As for the kind of criminals, the ones that are on the news for stuff like murder, arson, kidnapping, etc, etc. So real criminals. And the origin of the stake through the heart was primarily to pin the vampire, not kill it. Of course, here, if the stake wasn’t long or durable enough, it would just be nuisance to remove. Alternately in this verse, vampires evolved so much that wooden stakes weren’t strong enough to hold them down, but vampire hunters have found different methods in killing vampires, or trapping them.
Ok. Also, the news, eh? So what about crooked cops, white collar criminals, and politicians?
Ah, you do know. Nice. ^_^ Also, the wooden stake through the heart thing was derived from the original Dracula, but there vampires could be killed by anything going through their hearts. And interesting. Curious about theses ways to hunt vampires. ^_^
