Wow... just wow... so much to say about this, and where do I begin. This story began last July.
Note: If you have not been following this story, I would suggest going back to the beginning. You will find all of the chapters in a folder within my gallery. This particular chapter is some 20 pages rather than my usual 5 to 6. There was no way around this.
Note: Falling into the shadow of the famous 'Wizard of Oz' was totally accidental. This was not intentional from the beginning. The way I write is with no forethought to anything. The story leads me, and the characters are who they are - it's as simple as that. Yes, I grew up with the movie - they played it every Thanksgiving and it is always fun to watch.
Note: During the writing, I got the titles Sergeant Major confused with Master Sergeant. Both Smith and Tommy Boy are Sergeant Majors.
To all of you who have followed the story - THANK YOU!
To all of the artist who allowed for the use of their art - THANK YOU!
In this particular chapter, the culmination of the story itself, I would especially like to thank
lethal_doors for the use of their art to head the chapter. Their images of 'war dogs' among others are quite superior.
And now, may I present to you, the conclusion of 'The Squad'...

Okay, I finished it today. (7 inches of snow and still coming down helped) It was like reading a Tom Clancy novel...so many things going on at the same time or in the background. I had to go back and scan multiple chapters to refresh myself on who's who and how they fit in. Had to do that every time you posted another chapter. I'm exhausted mentally. I don't know how you do it. In a word - BRILLIANT!
