Dragonheart's strength of character can be matched by no other. There's only one thing she's been raised to do when she was young- to become the voice of a dying race, and defend them from anything that might harm them. When Sunny lost the clan who raised her, she had been lost to senseless revenge for a while after that. To the point where she would eliminate anyone who put themselves between her and her mission. To find the one responsible for the deaths and abduction of her clan's members. However, even during a time of great turmoil for her, Sunny isn't without honor. There was still a spark of good in her, and Dick Grayson saw that in her when he attempted to form the Titans for the first time.

It was a long and hard fought process, where Nightwing, who was then known as Robin, had to prove he was worthy of Sunny's power by both defeating her and giving an offer she can't refuse- if she joined the Titans, she would have access to everything she needed and more. As long as she uses her power to defend those who can't defend themselves. With no leads on her hidden adversary and drawn in by the promise of fighting for a greater cause, Sunny accepted Dick's offer. Now, Sunny's become a permanent and major member of the team, and continues to try her best to live up to the purpose she was given. While she may not be defending dragons, she now has a worthy, temporary substitution- to defend the innocent.
