Nothing like grilled or charred vegetables
1 zucchini cut into cut as shown
2 Tbs of oil
1/2 tsp of salt
1/4 tsp of pepper
!/2 Tbs of honey
A drizzle of soy sauce
Heat the oil in a pan over medium high heat and place in the zucchini. Cook until golden brown about 2 minutes. Flip and repeat. Before removing from the heat add the salt, pepper, honey and drizzle soy sauce on each piece. Flip a few time to coat with glaze and serve.

From Chris: Here, I will personally give props to rouxroux for using the 'charring' technique. It is not easy, because there is a -very- fine line between being from just charred to burnt. You really need to keep an eye on it and gauge as to when its time to take the veggies from off the pan, but the other key is also making sure that you have removed most of the moisture from the zucchini first.
Pre-salting works very well, (because the zucchinis will have a lot of moisture on the inside) and if you have the zucchini rested on a sieve in a large bowl, chances are you'll see most of the juices from the zucchini already in the bowl. (Then just wipe down the zukes and cook them accordingly.)
