Vintage Vixens finally got our retouches done. Still waiting on the CD, but they made me Pinup of the Day last Saturday, so I was able to get my hands on this one. (not a HUGE honor -- i think every girl gets at least one "pinup of the day" post. at least every girl at OUR party got one.)
i think the nylons look weirdly bunched up around the heels and it looks less obvious that there's not just something wrong with my feet (lol!) in this sepia monotone, but hopefully that's not too obnoxious. you can see the seam in the back of the nylons on my right calf.
my only critique with THEIR retouches is that area around my ribs -- i know they were editing out a flap of the ripped-up butcher paper we stood on for the photo session, but it just looks badly lassoed. *facepalm* i've never seen them make a mistake that obvious before. REGARDLESS, i love my pictures and will be going back to them.

trivia: i actually have a diamond nose stud, but it's so small it never shows up in pictures! in fact, people who have met me often don't know i have it until it gets pointed out or it catches the light. and my dad said it would ruin my face!

That does look old timey, like some of our old family pictures. A lot of people were sorry to see the seamed stockings go away. They thought that line up the back of the leg looked sexy.
I can see the bunched stockings somewhat but I don't see the problem around your ribs. Interesting pattern on the dress. It looks to low-cut for the period but the hair style is excellent. You would have made for some nice WW2 nose art.

It's not terribly low-cut. It just rides down really low when you lay on the floor like that. it also didn't fit me perfectly since it came off a rack X3 you can see how the front fell down around the middle of my cleavage in the candid shot below.

we had several expressions we had to do for each pose: "kissy face", "ooh/pursed lips" (the one seen here), "big open mouth smile/laugh", and "just smile". i had a bad habit of raising my eyebrows in EVERY PICTURE, but it just seemed like the natural thing to do when trying to play innocent to a camera in a pin-up picture.
I love this style of art. The pin up era was grand and I wish it would make a come back I mean the stoopid 80's did briefly. *rolls my eyes* The women were so elegant and beautiful during that time. *sighs* Sorry I tend to ramble when it comes to pin ups. I wish I could afford to dress like that. The closest I can get is the makeup
