Here's an interesting story I came up with while making this. Sometime before Dust and the Sweeper, Ginger was abducted by a faction of the remnant of Gaius' army led by someone claiming to be the mistress of the general. She wanted to use Ginger as a sacrifice to resurrect him, which would trigger Dust into such a state of grief that he'd become an easy vessel to possess. Of course, Dust needed to be there in order for the process to happen, and the ritual needed multiple sacrifices, including some of Lady Gaius' own men. But before she could get to Ginger, the ritual was already finished, summoning the embodiment of all the deaths that were caused in the area they were in. The monster ate the mistress and almost took Ginger when Blinx managed to stop it. This is the direct aftermath. :)
