yeah... but that's my biggest problem with how it works is... this that you're seeing? That's it.
I couldn't make it so that you saw the person getting eaten actually travelling inside, feet kicking out of the mouth as they take the plunge... stuff like that XP The eaten character just disappears and you see the predator's swallow animation(which for most characters was just a wider mouth frame Xp).
The original designer had made it so that their sprites showed the player's feet or hands disappearing into the mouth... but... what if the predator was eating a character that wasn't the player? then that wouldn't make a damn lick of sense... XP sooo... into the trash bin we go with that lame cop out idea... XP

Well, if you were willing to draw feet for everybody, and be sure all the predators' nommy-sprites had jaws/other orifices of the right size, and been willing to determine or have someone determine (once for each predator) the horizontal/vertical offset and rotation that should be applied to the feet given the position of the orifice, and split each predator-nommy-sprite into 2 for the needed foreground/background effect, it would've been feasible to have the 'actual prey' going in, but that sounds like it'd have been a heck of a lot of extra drawing work... x3
