Today is Cliff and my three year anniversary for being in a relationship. As such he and I agreed to take our relationship to the next level and handfast in wiccan tradition for a year and a day.
I first got the idea from Kace when I saw her handfasting chords I asked her how she did it. She sent me to this wonderful tutorial and offered a few tips on the subject.
Cliff and I each picked our own ribbon colors and charms to represent us. We also picked beads that had wide enough holes to accommodate the ribbons and would accent our color choices.
Cliff's chord is made up of burgundy, white and black ribbons and he chose firm oak and fired blue green beads. His charms are a feather (since he is native american), a piston and a spark plug (for his love of cars).
My chord is made up of light blue, cerulean blue and black ribbons with softer unknown wood and fired blue oriental beads. My charms are a paint palate (to represent me as an artist) a panther (my fursona species) and a 4 leaf clover (since I'm irish)
