Most of y'all out there know that I'm an old-school Godzilla fan from way back when. The movies were what I called "Guilty Fun!" with lots of destruction, cheesy special effects, simple plots, and lots of violence. Now, with my love for superheroes and swords and sorcery stuff, I might sound like a hypocrite when it comes to violence. Some of the anime that's coming out these days turns me off. Lots of angst and drama to the point that the plots feel lost on me. Characters that make me wish to either pull the disc out or at least find something else to do. Kaitlynn loved all those horror movies and she was the one who introduced me to some anime when I would visit. She always thought it was funny to watch me shriek about the slasher movies and cringe at some of the gore and such. One such anime was Akira that had come out back in 1988 and somehow she had a copy which she translated for me while we watched it. I was so lost. But it was so disturbing to me back then that I was shaken. Kait felt bad later, but I told her that it was ok ... and even made her breakfast the next morning.
"Darling, you watch Godzilla movies and Nightmare on Elm Street movies with me. How can this bother you?" she asked and I told her that I wasn't really sure. So, unknown to me, Kaitlynn snuck out while I was showering and got a copy of "Godzilla vs Megalon!" my all-time favorite Godzilla flick. It was quite the educational weekend for me. I learned more about her and she did learn a few things about me too.
So, years ago ... I want to say a decade or so ago ...
kecomaster did a private stream for me. I want to say that it was a rainy Sunday afternoon and I had gotten the infamous Chinese Delivery Gal to bring me by some food. Keco laughed, asking me to share and I told him that I would use my "Phenomenal Cosmic Powers!" to send him some. "Though I'm trapped in an itty-bitty space!" I added with some laughter. This was the groovy apartment I had back then ... the one where I was perhaps the happiest, it was bigger than my place, but not as nice. It was also right before I moved for the second time into my third apartment over at this insane place where I live too.
Here in this gracious piece
kecomaster did for me, you have Ricochet KaBoom! or Taffy the Impossible Tigress and the Mighty PlastiCat! or Caitlynn Wildfire all suited up for some kaiju shenanigans. Years ago, I wanted to do a story about these pictures ... this one and the next two ... but every time I sit down to do it, I get distracted. I might change that with the cold snap that's going to happen this weekend. I might be trapped in-doors for the weekend.

I know, right? It seems like a friend of mine said something about them wanting to use Ultraman, but couldn't for obvious reasons, so they came up with Jet Jaguar, though I could be wrong. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me. Anyways, it's just pure fun for me to watch on a Sunday afternoon when nothing else is happening.
