A wonderful picture from my buddy
Inktail for
Relyks-Rone's Misfits campaign :D
Hastur grew up in a fierce tribe of the frozen wastes. Having long worshiped the gods of chaos, the tribe had been 'blessed' with the capacity to transition into a feral, murderous mindset that made slaughtering innocents WAY less of a hassle.
Hastur learned early on that he lacked his peoples' love of slaughter. Though his affinity for lore, performing, and buffs was enough to stop him from being abandoned outright, he lived pretty squarely at the bottom of the hierarchy.
During one raid, the unlucky arctic fox was captured by giants. One look at the fluffy creature convinced the beings not to eat him, instead 'keeping' him and teaching him instructions in their own language. The months he spent as their captive effectively domesticated the fox's feral side, turning it from a monster waiting to break out into a docile and loyal pet.
Since joining the guild, he's had a chance to truly enjoy his own talents. Still, he keeps the puppy side of him at bay as much as he can... hoping nobody who speaks Giant tries ordering him to sit.
