As the two get set up in the back of the bar, a large blue-green elder dragon is calming down a younger big purple behemoth.
“Calm yourself lad, you’ll do fine!”
“If-if you say so, Hiro. Just is my first time, is all.”
“Yep, that’s why you’ll be shadowing tha owner here, Lars.”
“…and why didn’t we do this at your bar, the ‘Heart of Fire’, instead of the ‘Bayou Landing’? “
“One, I found it would be easier to relate to someone younger than me, two, if ya break anythin’, I don’ have to replace it! Ghahahaha!”
That last statement just made the behemoth even more nervous; making Hiroshi put an arm around him to calm him down.
“I’m jus’ yankin’ ya chain, you’ll be fine, you’ll be fine!”
While this is happening, a knock on the door can be heard.
“You guys almost ready in there?”
“Ya’, just a minute!”
A minute passes, and the both of them come out the back room, Hiro wearing a bow tie and fundoshi, and Lars, a bow tie and a little apron with a beer logo on it, a thong under it for his tail. They are both greeted by the owner of the bar, a large green gator wearing a black armband and jockstrap.
“Lars, this is Paul, owner of the ‘Bayou Landing’. He’ll be tha one you’ll be shadowing tonite.”
“Hiya Lars! You and Hiro ready for the night?”
“I...suppose…so.”
The nervous behemoth is met with a wide smile from the gator.
“Don’t worry about it! I’ll be with you all steps of the way. Besides, all of the regulars would love a sweet guy like you!”
That makes the behemoth blush a bit. Lars then takes a deep breath, exhales and gathers his composure.
“Alright, I’ll do my best!”
The dragon then busts out with a big grin.
“That’s tha spirit! I’ll be out there on the floor too, if ya need me.”
Hiro then playfully pushes Lars toward Paul.
“He’s all yours now, Paul. Show him the ropes, won’t you.”
“Sure! Lars seems like a nice bud. He’ll do great!”
With that the three step on the floor, and Paul opens the bar for business.
The night begins and the customers start flowing in. Despite Lars still a bit shaky, he was doing quite well. Paul was showing Lars what he needed to do, and Hiro checked up on him every so often if he wasn’t busy waiting tables.
The customers loved the three of them, if not for the great friendly service from the three of them, it was the view of their large muscular bodies on display for all to see. Of course, there were a few patrons who were quite rude, touching Lars inappropriately when he wasn’t looking, but a few angry glares from Paul and Hiro stopped that from happening further. Lars did notice all of the compliments and tips he was getting though, which made him quite happy…as well as some phone numbers, which made him blush profusely, the nudging from Hiro and Paul didn’t help much either.
The night goes on, drinks and food are served, and everyone is enjoying themselves. Lars was left on his own during the last hours before the bar closing, being the star of the night.
Time passes like a blur, and the last patrons leave the bar smiles plastered on their faces when they leave. Finally Paul locks the door, and places a ‘Closed’ sign on the door, ending the night. Lars starts sweeping the floor and is met with two hands on his shoulder.
“You did great for ya’ first time, eh Lars? Seems Paul taught ya well!” Hiro stated.
“He’s was a fast learner! Once his fears went away, he was the star of the show!” Paul added.
Lars blushes and rubs the back the back of his head.
“Thanks guys, I couldn’t have done it without you.”
“Of course! Say Paul, would you like to work at my bar from time to time? We can work here on occasion as well. What do ya think?”
“Sure! That sounds like a sweet time! So how about a drink for new friendships?”
“Sounds like a plan!”
“I’m always up for a pint or two!”
And so, the beer was poured, the mugs were clanked, and jolly cheers were had. The three looking forward to the future they would have together, and the happy drinks they would be able to share to happy people to come into their bars to enjoy themselves.

Just as the previous Goldar x King Sphynx pic that I did this commission was a way for me to learn new shading techniques that
I'll use in future projects! I absolutly loved the idea that Vargrith wanted for this pic and it was pretty fun to work on it! Plus, I
was lucky enough to have wonderful and warm feedback from him and Lars when I deliver it to them!
