In Mylk, with the lack of normal metal ore to make weapons, the primary smiting material of the plane is Plas-tic ore. It's highly malleable nature and the fact it can be magical refined to be as hard as normal metal makes it a valuable substance. Plas-tic mines exist everywhere, and with them are pests known as Silly Putty. This type of ooze infests Plas-tic ore deposits, and unless dealt with quickly, can completely shut down a mine. Appearing as normal ore come to life, they will ambush victims and coat them in it's self, encasing them and leaving a smooth featureless mockery of their former self. Over time the putty expands, slowly trapping the victim inside and slowly feed on their identity, leaving them a lumbering blob seeking out others to hug and coat as well. Luckily this condition can be cured with restoration magicks, but the longer one is left in this state, the harder it will become to remove it...
big colorful blobs are a staple to any good D&D setting, don't you think?

1) It's like you slowly lose your sense of self and only can think of making more silly putty
2) their voice is muffled, so the most they can do is make muffled sounds from under their coating
3) honestly they can be cured no matter how long they are stuck as putty, given Mylk is a plane of semi-permanence, so no bad end is permanet

Very nice! <3
I like the idea of it gradually expanding and feeding on your identity. Also the way it sounds like it's always 'fixable' is interesting, but I get the idea like, you might have some amnesia, issues with your own identity, and perhaps even some 'simplification' of your interior base form, that becomes more and more severe the longer you went without being 'saved'.

Hee! You like that, huh? Null Enthusiast, huh? XD
But yeah, I was thinking about that sort of thing, quite!
Like, first your curves might end up being curvier, softer. Your identifying features getting less specific, less detailed. Your eyes might change as well, first just a coloured circle on white, then just a black spot on a smooth face. Your fingers, they might get simpler, less joints, less digits... Maybe just a mitt... And your feet? No toes, no hooves, just kinda lumps!
In your head, well, you'd lose memories of course. Your identity would degrade. You'd forget your name, bit by bit, remembering maybe one or two syllables, until it was all gone. You wouldn't remember anyone, not even yourself. You might make new memories, but probably not for long. Your interests would simplify too. Just eating and sleeping, all the time, or staring into space.
Plain and simple, not really anybody anymore, just a person-like thing.
