The wolfir stands under the moonlight. There was once a time when such a sight would fill him with dread and an irresistible aggression but no more. Silver mist builds around him, a reminder of the divine power that had changed him. Saved him. Given him a new purpose. There were monsters out there, preying on the weak of Innistrad. It was the duty of the wolfir to track them down in the dark places of the plane, to go where human or beast alone could not. It was time to begin the hunt.
This is a wonderful piece done for me by the always awesome
Rahir I've always felt the wolfir in Magic the Gathering were a sadly underutilized concept. Former werewolves empowered to defend people and battle the creatures of the night just ticks so many of my favorite things. I'd like to do more with this character in the future, perhaps more commissions or use him for a D&D campaign. But if nothing else, enjoy this lovely picture of a werewolf!
