Messing around with the style for finished pages. I went overboard and almost killed myself. This tends to happen more often when Slick is involved x.x
I think a few flat tones and cross hatching may look better and I want to try a few pre made screen tones with the nice big dots. Bitmapped tones don't shrink well at 72 dpi so displaying them online looks pretty crappy.
Photo reference for this page was taken from the train yard in my neighborhood in Queens and the one on the far west side of midtown Manhattan.
If you've seen this http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4527653 you'll know I've put together a sketch portfolio to raise some money for the comic. Thank you to the few of you who've picked it up!!
To hopefully boost some interest in donating, I'll post one finished page for every 10 people who donate or buy the sketch portfolio :D
Thanks again for reading!

Yeah, ANY bitmapped screen tones never shrink right for digital viewing, sadly.
What you might want to try instead:
Next time you get a chance, stop at Blick Art's Supply. Over by the paper pads, on one of the end caps closest to the wall, they carry actual screen tone, the sticky stuff. Pick up some basic dot tones, then you can scan those tones into your computer at 600dpi ( overkill, I know, but easier to resize it that way ).
Pre-made digital tones just never seem to be good enough, really, unless you make your own. And making the ones with gradients in them is a paaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaain in the ass. XP
