Y'all probably thought that was going to be a one and done doodle, but nope- people (birds?) just don't recover from that kind of psychological damage that quickly or easily. I'm making it an actual character personality quirk of his (because I find the idea of community driven personality development interesting, even if it's just a fluke) - The birb is now self conscious about his feet. I'm thinking about some kind of foot covering I can give him that he'll wear a majority of the time from now on to help cover up his filthy disgusting talons when he's in public. Maybe some kind of wrappings... Maybe just stockings which also have the added benefit of being stockings, which are awesome. I dunno. If you've got interesting ideas for birb shoes/socks/general foot coverings, feel free to share!
A little different from the kind of work I usually do, but I couldn't get the idea out of my head. Sy just seems like the type to drop whatever she's doing and help a sad friend in need. Don't worry, she'll be able to cheer him right back up to his usual happy self in no time, even if he'll be shy about his toes from now on. :P

Awwww, poor Adhina! I think after that lovely polish is dry, Gale should come in and give those talon a nice gentle rub and massage as well; make sure the bird knows that we love and appreciate every part of him~

I wouldn't say he has an "If your not first your last!" personality- ah, just caught the edit. Yeah, he literally came in last. Nobody was wanted less than he was for that project. That's gonna sting a little bit, even for an otherwise cheerful birb, even if nobody meant any harm by it. :P
Aw, well thank you! :3 As much as I enjoy my typical content, it's interesting to explore some different feelings from time to time. And it looks like people definitely... well, maybe not enjoy it exactly, but it seems to get people engaging with the characters quite a bit, which is neat!
You mean his talon colour? I suppose I could, would only take a minute or two. Or did you mean the foot coverings? I definitely plan to make those, at least, once I've sat down and actually figured out what they're going to be.

Aww sweet birb, don't let it get to you. The poll said paws and people tend to take it more literal then it might intend, so since it didn't say feet but paws people went with literal paws for the vote. Why, I bet if the poll was redone with feet used instead of paws, you'd be one of the top 3 by far! I can't promise the number one roll, but I bet top three at least!
See, the thing is, this is conflating a fetish with personality. I could give a flying boomerang what people think of my feet. Most people don't. Only foot fetishists and shoe designers would care, and there is probably some overlap between those two groups. If it was...his beak, or feathers, or something more regularly visible, regularly focused on, then this might make sense, but unless that birb is seriously into feet...why is this even an issue? Or is it normal in this community to be so fragile that criticism of an uncommonly-attended part of the body is reason for this emotionally manipulated charade? Foot covering...foot wrapping, good god. Tarchaya's feet are very similar to Adhina's and you don't see me making a big deal about it. Lordy y'alls need Jesus, or some actual problems to worry about.

Right, so mainly both these sketches were just something that struck me as a little amusing and so I decided to run with it. Art inspiration comes from weird places sometimes! It was never meant to be taken super seriously, the entire thought process behind the initial sketch was basically "Haha you made the bird sad".
But since we're on the subject, some people are just more sensitive to stuff than others. I would wager he didn't care much either, until it was directly pointed out that he wasn't wanted for that kind of thing... that kind of thing can eat away at a person a little, even if they didn't think they cared initially. Not everyone- but some people!
As a final note, I am primarily a porn artist. Most of my characters barely exist beyond as fetish material in the first place. They're all heavily caught up in their sexuality so I don't think it's -that- out of place to have a character that exists mainly to be attractive to people to be a little upset at finding out a part of them isn't attractive to people. Again, even if they wouldn't have normally cared, having it spelled out to you like that just hits a bit different.

A lot of people wanted to see him happy after the previous one. While this sketch isn't quite that, he's at least on the way there now. :P
Yeah! That's more laziness on my part than any attempt to be artistic about things, I already had the pink out so I used it for his collar too. But that doesn't make the matching any less nice I suppose, hah.

I do love your diving into quirks especially made by the community. It is kinda fun to see characters fleshed out this way.
Now. I'm not much a talon guy, but that's because I'm not much a foot/paw/stability apparatus guy in general (was gonna put walking but then thought legs and well that is where I am)
HOWEVER when you said wrappings you had my attention and completely have my vote. Stockings are great but I'm sure I'll be in the minority when I say a patterned cloth wrap up the legs are a yes button for me.

I don't have a lot of great ideas for character development on my own, so I'm always happy to take the ideas that the community throws into my lap! And I just think it's kind of neat in general to have the community influence my characters and create some interactivity... even if in this particularly instance some of them feel bad about it. x3
I'm definitely leaning toward some kind of wrapping the most, I think. He's already got a very "frilly" look about him with all the flowy feathers everywhere, I feel like some nice ribbon or fancy cloth of some sort would fit his aesthetic nicely!

I dunno, being not super interested in any feet myself, but... maybe it's the whole 'rending talons' thing? Which makes me wonder about 'alternative footplay' ideas revolving around gripping, restraining, maybe even garment tearing? But again, not actually my kink, so what the heck do I know?
For the record, had I been apart of the Patreon I probably wouldn't have voted due to lack of interest. Having said that... having the character that placed last develop a complex is... kinda brilliant? Not that I like making him sad or anything, but it makes him feel more alive to me. Also, Sy cheering him up is absolutely sweet and I love it.
These two images reminded me that things like this happen to real people as well... Likes and comments can be a sharper weapon than any real knife.
But just like shown here, a friend that reminds you, that these opinions do not matter at all, can make a huge difference.

BUT. I saw the original situation and couln't comment at the time, yet I have a THEORY of what happened. Pardon my bit of science.
Foot fetishes are unique in that they're a neurological fluke. See, the part of the brain that recognize genitals is right next to the part that recognizes feet, and sometimes the wires get crossed. People see feet as somehow related to genitals. I think what's happening is that while paws are close enough to human feet for that part of the brain to recognize, bird talons are not.
