Lots of stuff in it, with careful customization and renamed stuff that basically follows the same plot as the original game, it's just that it is ponified.

Oh yeah, it's a very good masterpiece that even mixes and changes a couple things in the story away from Earthbound too. I for one have played Equestriabound when I was a youngster at least three times if I can recall correctly--that game was the stufffff man. They just don't make em like they used to.

In all honesty, I'm not a big fan of the Final Fantasy series so I can't say much about PF6. I'm more of a Disgaea person myself, which I'm a little surprised that nobody has made an official hack of one of the games. Probably because it would require actual voice actors and modders to do.
But yes, EquestriaBound... one of the best MLP fangames ever made!
