Ever just feel like you're dancing along with the rest of life? I had a good morning. :3

I try to draw dragonwings large enough to fly, because I prefer to imagine my character, if I actually took that form, to be able to fly. So I'm endlessly trying to figure out how to draw a character that's got a frickin' articulated HANGGLIDER stuck to his back. :B (I just assume with regards to muscles, that they can be more efficient than most land-based-animals' muscles. Saw one too many Discovery Channel specials on aquatic kinematics. :P )
I think my wing designs have been affected by my trips to the new Flying Fox exhibit at the zoo, and drawing creatures with *actual* handwings - they're lots more spindlyish and stretchyish than I had originally thought!

I see the links, and ahh in more understanding now. Gotcha boss. :) Also, I see you drew wings this time, centered somewhere over the center of bodily gravity, that's right--'cuz having wings higher up near the arms wouldn't hold the lower body up when flying, yes?
I usually draw them as close to the arms as I can (the wing membranes attached down the sides should help the rest of the body). But you do have to have room for either two shoulderblades or a hybrid-shoulderblade system.
And actually, that just happened to be where the wings fell when I drew it. I just sat down next to the windows and this drawing fell out on the page. ^_^
