I commissioned my good friend in RL, she also has a DA for anyone interested, to draw three of my chars, this is one of them, Sivu.(due to my horrible handwriting she had the wrong name, Siva)
the lion's mane is because of him being an Astrolo Dragon.
these dragons were made by Onyx The Dragon on fanfiction.net(his name is Sable the Dragon right now). then expanded upon by me. they are a dragon born under an astrological sign. (i.e. Leo, Taurus, Pices, etc). depending on their sign they have different elements, abilities and appearances, he is a Leo, he controls fire, and can morph into a lion. all Leos control fire and can morphing into lions, and have lion's manes.
they also can rival the strength of a purple dragon(they were made for the Spyro fandom) and in some cases, even overpower them.
