I recently got Pokemon Brilliant Diamond for Christmas and I thought it would be fun to do a Nuzlocke run in that game. But instead of writing down my progress and posting it online like I usually do with my Nuzlocke runs, I thought it would be more fun to draw my Pokemon team with each gym I conquer instead.
Since Diamond and Pearl apparently have a very limited amount of Fire types you can obtain in game, I decided to pick Chimchar as my starter. Once I had my trusty starter Zane by my side, I wasted no time in finding some new Pokemon to add to my team. My first catch was a Bidoof that I named Clara, but she sadly wasn't on my team for very long as I ended up losing her in a trainer battle on Route 202. I also obtained a Starly named Piper and a Shinx named Leo, and then I almost got wiped out at the trainer's school when I decided to take on those two kids at the trainer's school. (Seriously, those two Abra that know Charge Beam don't mess around.) After that I caught a Magikarp named Maelstrom and a Geodude named Sandy, although Sandy is currently unnamed in my game as I accidentally hit B before I could properly name her. Doh! I easily defeated my rival Blarg on Route 203 thanks to Leo, after which I managed to successfully catch an Abra that I named Fortune. After doing some grinding in Oreburgh Mine and catching an Onix named Galena, my now evolved starter Zane was now ready to take on the first gym. Roark's team didn't stand a chance against his Fighting-type moves and then Piper evolved into Staravia after the battle.
