So happy to see this XD I've decided to "out" myself as the commissioner, too.

There was one episode (Gunsmoke/WildWest-themed) where a black-nosed Miss Possum got to speak and had a big role in the episode. The nameless opossum in the 'kini here was in the beginning of a different episode, and got to let out a gasp and a giggle but was only on-screen shortly before Sonic went back in time to ancient Egypt. (I think a few fans out there really like Sonic's ancestor later in that ep, too.)

One possum girl or another might have been in a background shot or something elsewhere still, but you'd have to look at a wiki or something for that info, I think ^_^;

nice choice :3 it's cool to see more obscure characters that have little fanart get more recognition, Penelope's also a cutie as are several other mostly one-offs

In-universe one might assume that they're both "Miss Possum"s. Out-of-universe / In ours, I idly wonder whether the script said anything about the species/look of the "bored beach babe" here, or if her design just got picked randomly by someone in the studio staff.

recycled character designs for background characters has been a thing for a while, especially if they don't want to waste time/money designing a character who won't contribute anything besides show up in a crowd
