The Rise of the DarkFlight: A Dragon Quest 1 Parody
For those who may not know this, in Dragon Quest 1, your hero has the option of siding with the Dragonlord, a wizard who has the power to transform into a purple dragon. Yuki Furanaikana made a comic based on this option transforming the hero into a Mandrake Major, a bipedal dragon. Going from that decision, this is the story of Darkflight, the child/heir of the dragonlord, who, born from the egg the Dragonlord laid, has his own adventure in the dragon quest world, which is now quite different.

Not really. It wasn't a fun time.
Remember, his father is an utterly evil dragon, not in that cute way that Bowser tries to be to Jr., but in that psychologically destructive manner of expecting his heir to kill something that's screaming and in pain just so that he can approve of the other.
And the only reason that Darkflight isn't deeply traumatize by any of this is because all of that was 'normal' to him.
Remember, his father is an utterly evil dragon, not in that cute way that Bowser tries to be to Jr., but in that psychologically destructive manner of expecting his heir to kill something that's screaming and in pain just so that he can approve of the other.
And the only reason that Darkflight isn't deeply traumatize by any of this is because all of that was 'normal' to him.

I actually like this idea, it's more interesting than what DQBuilders1 did with the concept of the hero joining with the Dragonlord...
Also, Yuki Furanaikana aka Nojo had an earlier comic here on FA with the same TF idea of having the DQ1 hero join the Dragonlord and gets polymorphed into a Mandrake Major in the process.
You can still read it here on FA (Can't access it directly from their page because Nojo deactivated their account, but you can still share and fave their art if you have the original link to it). Either way, I'm surprised they revisited it with a new comic.

being born into the world from a evil dead beat dragon father sounds like a miserable existence my draconis light dragon Miller has a family that cares about him even his father mother brother and sister love him i would adopt DarkFlight and give him a more happy life
