Chupacabra, despite having been successful in creating several very deadly and hard to kill super soldiers, is only operated by three somewhat unhinged, psychopathic scientists, doctors Xie Lingxin, Melissa Fox, and Chandi Nambriya. Not their real names of course, as they are currently in hiding for numerous crimes including illegal genetic research, experimenting on POW's/civilians, and hundreds of other crimes that would get them all hanged if they were ever caught and put on trial. Not that death scares them, far from it, if they are caught and executed, their combined work would live on in the form of Project Chupacabra.

Doctor Xie Lingxin, a Japanese chemist, is an unhinged woman who, long before becoming a chemist, had a tendency to experiment on herself in the name of science. Most of these experiments did nothing more than cause damage to an already damaged mind, culminating in a drive to create a weapon on par with the Galaxy's deadliest weapons, the META's. Her dream came to fruition when, after some experimentation with blood magic, accidentally made herself into a sort of Vampire. Not a real vampire, she doesn't need to drink blood to survive, just to power her abilities. Of course, she was imperfect and needed more time and test subjects to experiment on, but before she could do that, the dictatorship she was working for suddenly and unexpectedly collapsed, and the Abyss Cloud Alliance descended upon the small dictatorship, along with a lot of people who wanted her dead. But she managed to escape and, after meeting up with two like-minded people, went to work on her dream in secret.

Doctor Melissa Fox, a British geneticist and a synthetic human, does not give a shit about anyone, not even herself, seeing everyone and everything as expendable in the pursuit of science, even herself. The only things she truly cares about are her research, and the soldiers produced by project Chupacabra, seeing them as the future of humanity. She also has the habit of subjecting her lovers and her co-workers to some things that she enjoys, things that most people would find questionable. unsurprisingly, her co-workers don't seem to mind the things she forcefully submits them to. Apart from being a geneticist, there's not much known about her past, as she refuses to speak about it. All that the other two know about her is that, like them, she's wanted in several empires for a long list of crimes.

Doctor Chandi Nambriya, an Indian biologist and one of the most wanted women in the galaxy for 'accidentally' unleashing a plague that left millions dead, all in the name of science of course. She quickly went on the run and met up with Xie, using her research to help project Chupacabra complete their living weapons. Chandi is not afraid to speak her mind, and doesn't hide the fact that she would love nothing more but to kill her co-workers and take all the credit, The feeling's mutual. She is also a synthetic, but unlike Melissa, Chandi was born human but transferred herself into a robot duplicate of herself after contracting the virus she unleashed.

Despite not liking the other members of their group, wishing to kill them off, the three women are more than willing to sacrifice themselves to keep the project alive, going as far as to make several contingencies just in case all three of them are killed. And before you ask why they are walking around in just underwear/swimsuits with a red lab coat instead of proper equipment, the stuff their working on is so dangerous, that if there ever was a problem or a breach of containment, not even power armour would be enough to protect them.
