A nice soup from zippy!
******************************
This is a recipe written stream-of-conscience so take it as it is. I kinda made this one up as I went along, so I am penning this from my memory and it ain't that well these days. Don't despair tho, as this is simple and maintains a high tolerance for deviant flavors. Try any herb, spice or ingredient substitutes; that is often what makes for good meals! T' was a great soup!
Sorry the above pic ain't so good... I am not good at making food photos, and what ya see here is the leftover leftovers... but trust me even this lil bowl was tasty!
To Start... Put a tablespoon or 2 olive oil in a saucepan, heat and saute about 1/3 to ½ cup onion at medium heat until fried clear, not crisp. Add 2 cups chicken stock and 1 tsp. Garlic powder. Add in 1 cup left-overs corn or succotash. Next throw in near 1/2 to 1 cup of picked leftover turkey meat (I used thigh/leg meat) Salt & Pepper next; go lightly. Keep pot at a simmer.
At the same time, in a separate pot, boil about a cup of farfalle or rotini noodles (well, any pasta will work). Boil until soft, bout 10 min, -retain the water.
When the noodles are soft, sift them out and add to the soup. Put about a cup of the noodle broth into the soup, to make the soup as thin as u wish.
Add about a half tablespoon of Tarragon, and about half as much Basil or Oregano to this soup. Also, a small spurt of Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce and a small squirt of Sriracha sauce. I added a sprinkle (1/4tsp) of a seasoning called Bijol, (often available in Latin Markets) which is mostly flour and orange coloring with a touch of Cumin. It renders a nice rich gold color to the soup but adds little to the taste. Simmer the soup awhile longer.
Serve hot, with maybe a sprinkle of Paprika as a garnish, and with biscuit or any other thanksgiving leftovers - use your Imagination – and give Thanks to your Maker, your friends and your Soldiers out there protecting your furry butt!
ENJOY!

From Chris: If you still have the leftover carcass from the turkey (bones, giblets, etc.) DON'T throw that out as you can also roast them and then use them for your soup stock as well!
