I realize she's supposed to be a necromancer, or maybe undead herself, but I actually dig this on so many levels for a hedge mage...a wizard that's something other than covered in jewels and bling.

Right :3 Best Necromancers are the one that put all their wealth into their spells not Bling

Now thats someone who cherishes their starting equibment more then fancy late-game stuff and instead goes ham on the high-level spells instead. Like;

Random Guard 1: Halt sorcerous scum, you are under arrest for using your dark magic on our dead! Turn yourself in and face judgement!
Random Guard 2: Steve, is it really a good idea to antagonize a magic user? Our equibment is not really magic repelling.
Random Guard 1: Don´t worry Kevin, I mean, look at her. Shes all in rags and tatters, what spell could she have besides "Raise Zombie/Skelleton"?
Bunny Mage: Yeah, I cast "Army of the Dead".
*the whole graveyard raises as an army of skelletons and zombies*
Random Guard 1: ...
Random Guard 2: I hate you Steve...
Random Guard 1: Hey, at least its not "Grave Giant" eh?
Random Guard 2: Please don´t give her ideas...

Plus, its good for the overall aestethics.^^
