i thank whoever wrote paragraph 1, page 13 of the DMG for giving us a way to play godless clerics and paladins !
a whooole new genre and tropes to these classes just with a single paragraph
that's how i ended up making a wholesome dargonborn grandma forge cleric blacksmith who hails her powers from the strong belief that from arduous work should come a rightful reward.
put in the effort, reap the benefits, put in the elbow grease and you'll be eating plenty
she got 13 kids, raised them well, did her best to give them all the best chances and is proud of aaaaall of them because whatever they ended up being and having they worked hard and seriously to get to that point.
