Well,
PlanktonHeretic often does more WoW and fantasy-themed images as well as superheroic ones, and it had been a bit since I'd had Sara drawn in that sort of milieu, so the last time commissions opened up I decided to go for one. Chain mail for flexibility and armoured plates for protection, and of course her shield is enchanted. When she decides to do a shield bash with an magically imbued shield, somebody's going to get hurt.
When I built Sara in Pathfinder I used a 'Magus' class, which is exactly the sort of fighter/enchanter hybrid she'd pretty much have to be.

Well, yes.
I mean, really, one of the benefits of the Magus class is that pretty much anything in a magus' hand is effectively a magical weapon. They're not great with spellcasting, but being able to cast a spell through a weapon at the same time as striking with the weapon has some really useful advantages.

A very interesting piece, and it does look like she's squaring up for a fight she's going to enjoy - judging by that grin.
The one thing I note is the sword looks somewhat like I expect a sword to look. (At least now, having seen them made on 'Forged in Fire'.) The cross-guard seems a little wide, but it looks like there's a fair amount of weight put right there at the end of the blade section to balance out the length.
That said, chainmail and fur... especially long hair... seems like something which could be a problem. :)

The purpose of a cross-guard is so that if your opponent's sword slides up your own after impact, it will be stopped before it hits your hand. So the size of the cross-guard partly depends on the weight of the sword you expect to be fighting against. In the other hand, bigger makes your sword heavier and slower. Lots of factors involved, including pure ornamentation sometimes.
As for chanmail, you would normally be wearing a shirt and leggings (even better, a padded and quilted shirt) underneath the arnour anyway, so most of the fur shouldn't be a problem. The hair is a different matter, yes.
The lack of a helmet could be a psychological warfare tactic.
