If #pokemon were really animals in our world, this is how we would make them suffer… #Pignite: In the time it took me to paint this, over 6000 #pigs were killed in a single slaughterhouse. Every hour, in the US alone, over 1100 pigs are killed in every single slaughterhouse. On average a pig will live 10 to 15 years…but pigs killed in factory farms are sent to slaughter only after three-six months of their life. Still just babies. When they are born, their tails are docked, and their teeth are torn out without anesthetics. They are fattened up with supplemented cornmeal, often mixed with disposed food, plastic, or even other animals, then are gassed in CO2 gas chambers where they burn and suffocate to death from the inside out when they are big enough to sell. This is considered a “humane” practice, but anyone who would see such things happen to any other, would not agree in the slightest. Pigs are highly intelligent, complex beings that have strong bonds with their families, and friends. Some studies have even shown them to be more intelligent than dogs, and human toddlers (and imo, most human adults). They scream for mercy as they are forced onto the kill floor, and wish to live just like any of us… Please refuse the slaughter of these beautiful beings.
