Maria sat for a moment watching Shadow sleeping with a small smile amazed he could sleep so effortlessly without any blankets. His thicker winter coat had been coming in as the days cooled and she found herself thinking his fur was probably very warm. She found herself blushing thinking about it and buried her head into her knees and blanket.
After a couple quiet moments she glanced over again and gripped her cloak and blanket around her tightly before stepping out of bed. The floor was cold against her bare feet but she slowly walked over to where Shadow slept. After a few tense moments to gather her nerve she slowly reached out a hand and lightly tugged on a tuft of Shadow's fur. He glanced over before sitting up curious as to what was wrong to be woken up for. Maria gripped her blanket tightly to herself, finding it hard to look him in the eye as blushed and nervously asked.
"W-would it be alright.....if I could sleep next to you tonight....?'
She could never look up as asked, feeling herself grow more embarrassed with the odd request as she spoke it aloud. Shadow tipped his head a bit as she asked and she was startled as he reached a large hand around her and easily picked her off her feet. Before pulling her close against himself and curled up around her so she was fully surrounded. He shifted around a few moments before curling tail around finally and dozing off again. Maria froze silent as leaned again him. She'd hoped to just sit near him and wasn't expecting this. Blushing as she relaxed a bit and leaned her head against him. His fur was soft and quite warm and she easily dozed off.
