So. This is one of those three x-ray badges I posted earlier, printed out on acetate (clear plastic) and held up to the cloudy sky outside (you can see a tree in the corner there XD). I'm having some trouble with figuring out what to do with them, since the two that I laminated with little white paper borders came out with some pretty awful bubbles right in the middle of the x-ray. D:
Any one have any ideas? Should I laminate just the x-ray part without the border? Should I just stick the unlaminated print in a badge protector?
Will be scrapped later, when I can upload an actual finished product.

These look freaking awesome! I suggest slipping them in a plastic badge holder, though I'll warn you that due to the way it is printed, the ink has a high chance of sticking to the plastic badge holder and coming off the acetate.
Is the lamination you are trying cold press or hot press?

Yeah, that's why I'm still hesitating. D: My school ID got stuck to the inside of the little plastic holder in my wallet, and forever after had half of my face all distorted and pale. So yeah.. I'm hoping someone will have a better idea. XD;
I have a hot-press laminator. It works fine on most other things, and when I tried a little sample of the acetate (to make sure it wouldn't melt or something) it turned out just fine. >.>; So it could have been the paper border that caused those bubbles, maybe?

Hm, maybe! If the paper border has a little edge to it, would definitely cause bubbles.
These are just too awesome to not protect, acetate prints get so scratched up - though in the long run that could give them character and a uniqueness. Sort of an aging process?
I think slipping them into a badge holder would still work, as long as you let people know it's more a permanent thing and to not remove the film.

Yeah, that's what I figured. :\ I'm still gonna try to laminate without the border. If that works, then we're good! And if it doesn't... then I guess badge holders would be the next best option. Maybe if I glued them shut to prevent people from switching out.
Or hey, that 'aged' idea sounds interesting! Maybe I can offer people options. :3
