Diane Foxington let out a sigh as she sat at her desk, scrolling through emails, sipping coffee. Another boring day at the Agency.
Sometimes she would wonder: what if life were different?
Her mind once again bounced back to years ago, when she had been assigned to follow that wolf and his thief pals... Well, she never really caught them in the act, did she? So who was she to say they were thieves? What accusations could she make, especially when she had come so close to proving their involvement in the heist?
Maybe there was another world where she did catch them all in the act? A world where her career hadn't hit such a roadblock, where she did more than sit around in her office most days and eat donuts...
The office chair creaked beneath her, reminding her that it was getting too old and too small. The noise also reminded her that she was getting too big too, but that was something you couldn't just change so easily. Foxington let out a brief growl of anxiety as she tried to tug her button-up shirt down over her stomach, the orange fur of her belly folds visible in the dim light from her computer screen. For a moment, the vixen frowned as she squeezed her doughy tummy, listening to it gurgle for more yet again. One of these days she would start a proper exercise routine, finally start on the long road to losing all this weight for good...
For a moment, Diane's frown deepened. How many months might that take? How many years? When was the last time she'd bothered to actually look over the swell of her gut when she'd stepped on the scale and actually seen the number there?
Diane sighed again. One of these days she'd work off the pounds, no matter how many there were when she'd next weigh them. For now, a new chair would do, and maybe a new suit, and some more donuts and coffee, of course...
She thought again, strangely, of Mr. Wolf and his gang. She'd met him briefly during her investigations, but it'd been so long ago. She wondered what he was like now. The now wealthy lupine supposedly spent much of his cash on indulgent parties, but for whatever reason was oddly reclusive from the public eye. Diane wondered briefly if he still had the skills that had made him such a good thief, and whether or not those skills would help with her current job. Her face reddened as she thought of how he might react seeing her now after all these years, so much of her.
The risk and embarrassment might be worth it in the long run though, if there were any way he could help. She'd have to once again get off her ass and do some field work anyways at a public reception, so maybe having a familiar face along could be reassuring. As soon as she picked up her new dress for tonight's event from the tailor, she'd be sure to send Mr. Wolf an email. What's the worst that could happen?
Did a quick fat pic for another character from this film I don't even know if I'll see. Just made up some stuff on the spot for a short writing exercise to fit with this pic. Also you can blame https://www.furaffinity.net/user/neko-gami/ for the title pun!
