Hazel finds out they're going to bring back a car she loves but then finds out the terrible truth.
Seriously what is it with car companies bringing back beloved name plates and crapping all over them? *cough* Chevy Blazer *cough* Ford Maverick *cough*.

And there was the travesty that was the Thunderbird several years ago. My biggest beef is the current model Corvette, I didn't like they'd removed the flip up head lights a couple generations ago but THE CHEVROLET CORVETTE IS NOT A MID-ENGINE CAR!!!1!1 they just made a Ferrari and slapped on some GM decals.
The retro Thunderbird? Yeah that was a weird one that I honestly thought looked like a stretched VW Beetle and it didn't help that it was based on a Jaguar chassis.
Unfortunately pop up headlights will probably never return due to I guess 'safety concerns' (gotta make it safer for whenever you hit a pedestrian for some reason, never mind the fact they're getting hit with a car...) although I too really wish pop up headlights would come back.
Heh yeah it kinda does seem like a Ferrari with some GM decals slapped on, I guess they've been wanting a mid engined Corvette for a long time but I get where you're coming from because it's a complete divergence from what a Corvette was. There's nothing the same between a C7 and C8 at all, no suspension parts, no running gear (other than they both have 6.2L engines), no nothing, the interior is weird and driver centered and so on.

I don't drive, but Smart Devices can go to hell. When Skynet comes online I'll be one of the last ones the Alexanators take alive.

Love her T-shirt!
Some of my dream cars were nightmares. Back in the 1980s I wanted a Nissan Pulsar in the worst way. I had been driving B-210s, the Pulsar seemed like a major step up. I went to a dealer and test drove one. Couldn't get out of it fast enough. The test drive took the salesman and I over the I-95 bridge between New London and Groton, Connecticut. It was a windy day and I could barely keep the thing on the road. Uncomfortable and just plain a cheap build.
So, I bought ...a Hyundai?

Kinda reminds me of my weird desire to someday own a Geo Metro (aka Suzuki Swift). Yes I know it's a puny, underpowered, not very pretty and somewhat dangerous car but I seem to be drawn to things like that. The fact it has a 3 cylinder engine is also weirdly alluring to me...
I also miss the Suzuki Samurai we briefly owned although we do have it's more mature cousin, a Suzuki Sidekick (the name of which is just adorable to me, it's a car and it's your sidekick. It'll always be there for you and I can attest to that fact with ours, it's indestructible and impossible to get stuck).
Suzuki where are you!?!? Bring the US the Jimny!!!

Oh, Glory -- a former girlfriend owned a 3-banger Metro for about a year. One cylinder stopped working (reason unknown) and eventually the engine swallowed a valve. Of course, she was in the middle of nowhere, broke and parked illegally. The car was towed to in impound lot and they told her she had to cough up $500 to get it released, plus whatever the fine was. I think 20 years later she still owes me $300 on top of her Glock 19.
