So this Falcon ran into a barbed wire fence. Luckily with only soft tissue damage to his wing and not a totally broken wing which would ruin his chance to go back to the wild.
He "graduated" to the large indoor ICU cage but is not ready to go outside yet.
To be releasable he has to be perfect and a perfect falcon should be able to dive 250mph.
We're hopeful, he'll definitely be able to fly but how well is anyone's guess.

He's a determined and wicked little bird too. He doesn't need his wing wrapped anymore but when we had to clean the wound daily he got out of the grasp of the volunteers hand and bit the hell out of my finger. Luckily I got away with only some surface scratches which is surprising because.. sharp beaks and all.
So yea, Birdeh, when I get a new camera that can take pictures better in some of the weird lighting we have at the center I'll take more pictures like i use too. I'll also have my computer fixed soonish and be able to upload things to my website so I can add more birdeh pictures for people to stare at.
I find the color difference between this guy and our resident Peregrine Falcon; Aurthur rather interesting.

Though this bird is wild and Aurthur is a captive bred failed falconry bird.

OMG they LOVE to do that near my parent's house! Growing up, my dad always pointed out when they'd show up at the horse trough for water, so we could watch them. The special air current near their house meant two flaps would get them into the thermal and over a mile up. It was incredible to watch. Mom is still horrified, lol.
