The internals are similar to the IRAC but far more complex. Using a set of gears it rotates the 3 chamber revolver just as the old IRAC, but that same force also rotates the 6 barrels. Ensuring nothing overheats.
Also, this new model of autocannon uses a belt which is stripped within the metal feed and then fed as normal 'non belt' rounds. This does away with the horrid 100 round mags that the IRAC was forced to use and lug around.
This new model of autocannon uses smaller .30 caliber rounds instead of the old and massive 20mms. This means its full form is much smaller, so a seat was added to the frame so that the gunner need not stand. It also 'bounces' with the recoil of the gun, some people have a hard time handling that, but it also provides better accuracy as the sights are always within sight. ;) However, the seat is angled, so a mirror system is in place so that the gunner can see over the top of the gun. This is done so that less of the gunner is visible from the other side of the machine.
Used rounds are ejected through a slide and drop in between the two tires.
Created with a combination of Photoshop and PMG.
