Oatium, the native world of the Oatis

Oatium is a planet located in Orion constellation, around 1270 light years away from earth. The planet is very rich in nitrogen and oxygen, but with a poor biosphere.

Despite being located at the perfect distance from the sun, the planet's ecosystem is very chaotic; with rainforests, deserts and tundras being located very close to each other. That combined with the poor animal diversity and scarce water makes the planet hard to sustain any kind of civilized society and yet the Oatis seem to have overcome this.

The water only composes a roughly 30% of the planet's total mass, and only 2% of it is safe to drink.
