This guy reminded me why I shouldn't do anything complicated with bronze. He was supposed to have purple cast in place stone eyes. I am not sure about the eye on the left but I know that the stone that was supposed to be in the right eye is partly visible in the right ear. If there is a stone still in the left eye (I can figure it out from cleaning up the back) I will remove the metal over the stone. If not, I will surface set a stone in the left eye like I will have to do in the right. (quite clearly bronze and cast in place stones don't get along...I should have realized that bronze was funny to deal with when I used it to make my tiger badge)
My jewelry teacher (who actually did the molten metal related part of the casting) thought maybe the stones moved when the wax melted. I am not sure about this theory considering what happened to one of the other items in the "tree". I will post that piece once I get it cut from the "tree".
