Story:
Announcer: Welcome to the third match of the tournament. On the right, we have a muscular fellow, Storm Beast, A warrior of the north from the clan of Storm Tribe. He wields a heavy war mallet to crush his foes and a shield to protect him and his allies. On the left, we have Sig, a student of Magika Academy known by the prestigious school of the high caliber of top Sorcerers all around.
Now let the match begin.
*The Announcer fires a prop gun*
A moment of silence, none made a move until Storm smirked and ready a stance. Then, strengthen his cabs and sprint toward Sig while putting his shield up for incoming attacks. Sig Strafe to the right like he just teleported in an instant. He uses a spell fireball, a basic magic attack, but incredible mana output, making a massive fireball. Storm stands his ground, shielding himself from the blast, unharmed from the fire.
"I see you can withstand that. Then how about this! HELLS FIRE!" says Sig while jumping to the air from a high distance.
The blast takes no time and fires a tremendous burst of fire, more vigorous and more extensive than the last. However, Storm didn't budge, and He raised his shield for the impact. The ground was obliterated around Storm, but inside where he stands was unharmed like nothing had happened.
"what?! How can that be? A mere shield blocking an advanced magic spell? No... something is amiss with that shield." says Sig
He closed his eyes and reopened them. His eyes turned bright blue, "Mana Zone." he could see the magic flowing around the shield. Sig hypothesized that it's some kind of protection or a magic negation ability by its color.
"I see... And here I thought I would have an advantage over a muscle head like you. No matter, if range magic is a disadvantage, then I'll just come to you" as Sig smirks and fly straight for Storm.
Sig summoned a purple lightning lance and threw it at Storm, but of course, that was a decoy. When he's close enough, he conjured flame claws to hit in a combo melee move. Storm blocks the chained combos from Sig and Narrow the mallet staff to form a hammer and strike back. It released a burst of ice shards that Sig had to back off to give him some distance.
Then the hammer extends back into a mallet. Storm smashes it to the ground, making large ice shards toward Sig. Then he unleashed a burst of lightning, destroying the patch of ice in front of him. As the lightning hits Storm, he uses his shield to block the attack.
"That annoying shield is a problem. But, unfortunately, I don't have any physical weapons that I can use to break that shield," says Sig. Then he claps his paws together, "chain my enemy to thy earth." immobilizing Storm so he can't move. After that, he summoned a magical staff as the spell circle slowly rotated under his feet.
"I cast destruction and chaos. Bringer of sorrow to my enemies. Let none survive the wrath of the scorching sun, Chaotic Desolation!" Sig shouted.
Five giant magic runes stack above the sky, glowing in radiants. Then connect to each other into a fin beam and suddenly makes an enormous explosion, creating a giant pillar of intense flare. Storm is holding on, raising the shield up, trying to push back the flames that are crushing him. While his muscles are screaming in agony. His shield beings to crack. Sig notices Strom is still holding on, so he uses more mana to increase the blast's power as more damage bursts. The shield Cracks even more; both the attacker and the defender struggle heavily.
"Gaaaaaaaaaaah!!" both shouted, and when the pillar of flames was about to end, the shield shattered, and Storm took the remaining damage. He was standing there as his body was steaming with burnt clothing.
Sig pants heavily, using massive quantities of mana. Then Storm awakens and swings his war mallet, creating a burst wide range on ice shards. Unfortunately, Sig was too late to react to the sudden burst of ice and got hit in the process, leaving a wounded mark on his arm.
"damn it..." Sig mumbles as he heals his wound.
Storm flaps his wings and flies to the sky. Then he swings his war mallet above his head. The sky's clouds start to rotate in a spiral centering where Storm is. Snow began to fall in a severe cyclone of wind, forming a blizzard. The snow-covered all over the arena, and then Storm threw his heavy war mallet without losing momentum as it spun, crashing the ground. In mere seconds, the snow turned to ice. Sig immediately reacted, jumping before he got frozen himself.
Storm flies down to retrieve his mallet and swings, putting on his shoulder, ready for a fight. Sig slowly stood up, in position ready to cast. Then he took a deep breath, exhaled, and summoned a book, launching a spell that summons his familiar Thunder Tiger. The tiger is massive with golden yellow electricity all over his body. It sprints straight toward Storm. However, Storm flies straight toward the beast and spins his body, giving more force to the war mallet, and smashes the beast's upper muzzle. As the war mallet lands a hit, it freezes and traps the beast in place with a gigantic ice stature.
He then flies up while spinning, as his veins pop out from his arm, indicating that he's gripping hard, making a few swings to the war mallet, and throws at Sig. The war mallet travels with tremendous force, creating a trail of ice shards behind it. Sig dodges it as the mallet returns to Storm, but he's not going to give up on winning the battle. Sig takes a deep breath, "it's all or nothing." He cast and throws a fire that's a form of a windmill shuriken. Storm flies toward it and smashes the flame in an instant, but then Sig vanishes from his sight. He was on top of him from a far distance, casting every element he could think of.
He started with lightning current, a wide range of lightning bolts chaining to strike Storm at every corner. However, Storm flies pretty fast, dodging most lightning bolts and blocking incoming attacks he couldn't avoid. Then he threw his war mallet to the Sorcerer and kept on flying to get closer to him. Sig unleashed a water tornado combining the electricity around to backlash the mallet. Storm approached him quickly when Sig was too busy dealing with the war mallet. Sig just saw Storm heading his way but was too late to counter as he punched him in the guts.
"Gaaah!" Sig coughs blood as Storm keeps pushing and swinging his fist all the way, making Sig fly upward and fall. "is this... the end...?" Sig mumbled as he kept falling from the sky. he closed his eyes as his auto-heal tried to recover him.
Then, Sig starts to reminisce about the past, "By golly, you really gonna enter the tournament," says his friend with a shocked expression. Sig replies, "you bet ya I'm going to enter, and I'll win. Just wait and see." His friend responded with a worried look, "I hope you'll be alright. You know they're going to be formidable opponents, and you're only a 2nd year."
He slowly reopens his eyes, "That's right... It was my choice to come here, to be the strongest I could be, and to win the finals." He clenches his fangs flipping his body, and summon a spell rune that he can stand on. "I'm not gonna lose here of all places! I will beat you and move to the semi-finals!" Sig knows he doesn't have much mana left. So he will have to concentrate his all mana into one singular manifested weapon. He condenses lightning elements to form a purple electrifying radiant katana.
Storm smiled, "That's the spirit kid, Show me what you got!"
They clashed countless times. However, Sig can't counter Storm's war mallet swings since every swing is heavier than the last. As a result, Sig can only dodge and make a counterattack. Storm has more experience on one in one combat than Sig, and he's at a disadvantage. Plus, he is running out of mana pretty soon. Sig tries to end this quickly with fast strikes, but it leaves him vulnerable with many openings for Storm to strike him down. Storm took the chance, slamming his war mallet down on Sig with a heavy blow as Sig clashes down, slowly getting unconscious. Storm sweeps down, catching Sig before he lands on the ground and says, "You did great, kid. I'm proud you were my opponent."
Then everyone cheered an unexpected selfless act of sportsmanship.
"The winner is Storm Beast, warrior of the north!" says the Announcer.
