One of my Christmas presents this past holiday season was the book "It's Saturday Morning! Celebrating the Golden Era of Cartoons" by Joe Garner and Michael Ashley. It was such a fun throwback, really taking me back to my childhood (even with the rising popularity of cable TV in the 90s, and having the Disney Channel, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network handy back then, there was still some fun stuff on the local channels on Saturday mornings, like CBS's Saturday morning block of the early-to-mid 90s, Kids' WB and Disney's One Saturday Morning). And what with Saturday morning cartoons having been back for a year now (on MeTV), along with knowing how Scooby-Doo was such a staple of Saturday morning television throughout the 1970s and 1980s, I just had to take this photo of Scooby reading the book!
